Three In One!

Life around here has been softball or baseball the last couple of days, and continues to be that way today. Dan is here and is not a softball/baseball fan, but he is being a good sport about it all! Not like baseball? Isn't that un-American?! I don't know if he likes apple pie, either. I will have to ask him when he wakes up. I know he loves his Mom, though.

Yesterday we went disc golfing. That was a new one for me. I have heard about it from several people but never played it myself. I had never even seen a course until yesterday. It was fun, though. I could get into doing that more often. Needless to say, I was no competition for Dan, he soundly whooped me.

This morning I am hauling the winter gear back out! The King has a double header today and it is 34* out, windchill is 22*. Perfect baseball weather! I will be wearing my winter coat and have my blanket with me.

Hopefully nobody gets hit by a ball today. There were two games going on last night at the same time. Grampy and Miss Joy were sitting on a bench watching the Princess in her game and I was standing behind them. We had our backs to the other game. All of a sudden I felt something hit my arm, and before I knew what was going on, the ball bounced off of me, hit Grampy in the shoulder, bounced off of him and got Miss Joy right in the face. No damage was done, though, just a fat lip. Whoever the player was behind us that hit that foul ball did a good job, three people with one swing of the bat!

  1. I think they call that a triple play, Bug. What's with the weather? And you want us to move up there. It wasn't that bad here, but not real Spring like. I was tuff though and didn't let the cold and wind stop me from buying the things I needed at the auction!! Then Marv had to buy a truck to haul my stuff home. And what do you do with a guy that stops you from buying a huge fountain, at a super price, then tells you later you should have bought it cause we ended up with a truck to haul it home in anyway?? Men! And now I'm fountain less. With a '76 Ford dually. Oh well, we didn't have one of those. Trucker thought it was cool. I guess I wasn't meant to understand boys and their toys! I miss my fountain!
