Sorry I didn't blog yesterday. Worked in the school all day, then sat in my van wondering why it would not start. Gotta love times like that! Finally got the van started and called the king and asked him if he would meet me at the local garage because our carriage was not running right. He picked me up, we ran to the store and bought some eggs because he was in the middle of making potato salad for a fish fry we were going to. He did an outstanding job on the potato salad, made it just the way I like it. Lots of scallions, radishes, celery and side pork. I had already made a loaf of oatmeal bread and a fruit cocktail cake to take over to add to the supper. Our host did a great job on the fish, so it was one scrumptious meal. I think I could eat like that every Friday night.
Our Princess was at a lock-in at one of our local churches last night. I got to go and pick her up in -15* (-25* with the wind chill, again) weather this morning. I wondered if they would keep her there or not, but decided against asking them!
We were supposed to go to church tonight for a game and pizza night. That got called off. Bummer! I love pizza and the King does not care for it, so we don't get to eat it very often. Now I have to figure out something to make. I just had a thought, maybe I should say we are going to have a game and pizza night in our own little castle! Then we could have some fun together as a family and I would get to eat pizza, too. Oh, I'm so smart!
Tomorrow the King and the Trucker are going to be in an ice fishing contest. Maybe I will go and see how they are doing after church. It is still supposed to be cold, though. I think I will come home and take a big, fat nap and read my book, instead! Oh, I'm just full of good ideas while I am sitting here!!
