The Trucker in the family, that would be the Prince but he does not like that name so we will go with Trucker, made this gun rack in his industrial arts class. I thought that he did a wonderful job on it. He says it is made of birch, but I could not tell you if he is right or if he is making that up! He got an A on the project, scoring 171 points out of a possible 175 points. I am trying to talk him into making me a book shelf next. Unfortunately he will be done with industrial arts next week. Bummer! I suggested next year, but he says he will not be taking a woods class next year. The Trucker wants to take metals instead of another woods class. I don't think a metal book shelf would be as handy. I guess if I never want to move it - it would work! Once I explain to him that I need another book shelf to hold my cookbooks or I won't be able to cook any more he will want to rethink his class scheduling for next year!
School was closed today due to extreme temps., it was -34* with the wind chill this morning at 6:00. Since The Trucker and The Princess are home all day today, I need to go show them how to play Monopoly now. Well, right now I have to get some chicken noodle soup cooking, then I will show them how the game is played!
Now I am working on my patience again. I am trying to get a picture in here of the Trucker's gun rack, but it isn't working right! I need to focus on Colossians 3:12, "Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience." Woohoo! The picture just popped in. We just have to find a place to hang it now. That will be a job in this house, we are running out of wall space.
I think he's pulling your leg. It can't be birch, everyone knows birch trees have peeling white bark and I don't see peeling bark of any color on that rack! Nice job, tho, even if it's not birch.
ReplyDeleteGreat job, Trucker!
