Last Saturday we spent the day with Steve's family, celebrating Christmas with them. It was a very enjoyable day; filled with lots of fun, food, laughs and games. We played two games that I had never played before, one being Wii and the other was a game called Apples to Apples. I bowled on the Wii and did better than I have ever bowled in real life, I scored 165. That was fun, but I don't think I could spend a whole day playing it. We never played any other games with the Wii though, I'm sure I would like some of the other games, too. Apples to Apples was a fun game. There were seven of us playing and we shared a lot of laughs over that game! I am considering buying that for our own family.
The exciting news of the day was that Steve's niece got engaged over Christmas! She was all proud of herself, she said she didn't even cry when he got down on one knee and proposed to her! I think I would have been crying if I was there! No dates have been set yet.
It is -20* as I am posting this, so a second day off school in a row for the kiddies! We never got around to playing Monopoly yesterday, so that is on the list of to do things for today. Maybe we will even venture out into the cold and look for an Apples to Apples game to play this evening when the King gets home.
We will be doing the fish chowder and peas Sunday after church. I will let you know how that turned out. I think T is coming over with her cheesecake, too! Yum!Yum!

Great Title, Candy! We sure miss y'all - but not the cold. Stay warm!
ReplyDeleteIt is getting better! Today was the first day that we woke up to temps above 0, well kind of. The wind chill was -11*.
