I Know It's His Birthday, But...

fish chowder and peas? Yuck!! I like fish chowder but I can do without the peas! Actually I have never made fish chowder; I have ate other people's fish chowder and liked it. Maybe when I make it - it will be a different story! I think he is just picking peas because he knows I don't like them! Today it is the King's birthday! Happy birthday, baby! I love you. In our home you get to pick what you want for your birthday dinner, and this year's choice was fish chowder and peas. We cannot make his dinner tonight because nobody will be home for dinner at the same time. I don't think we can have his birthday dinner until this weekend. Maybe by then he will change his mind to lasagna or shrimp or potato dumplings or cheesecake or anything besides peas.

This week I will be thinking about the King, Grampy and others that have to work outside. The weathermen are calling for wind chills at twenty-five to thirty-five below. I thank the Lord for our warm house, clothes and vehicles. I will also be praying for protection for Steve and Grampy as frostbite can hit quick in those cold temps.

Keep warm and I will keep you posted on our weather!!

  2. Happy Birthday and long live the King! Maybe peas make him think Spring? Green and all that. When you wake up to -17 as we did, anything that reminds you of Spring is a good thing! Stay Warm!!

  3. Candy, I was planning to make Steve a cheesecake for "our" birthday so I've got that part of his birthday dinner covered. Let me know when you need it by.

  4. Tess! You are such a sweetheart! Happy belated birthday to you, I hope you had a great day! I will certainly let you know when we are doing the birthday dinner, maybe you would like to join us. Or, maybe you and I will hide out upstairs and eat cheesecake and he can eat all them stinkin' peas!!
