Beautiful Day

When you are in northern Wisconsin, in the middle of November at 7:30 pm and it is 48* out, it is a beautiful day.

To add to the day, I finished the face of a baby quilt for our niece. She is expecting her first baby in January, but her baby shower is the Saturday after Thanksgiving. The doctor told the mom-to-be and the dad-to-be that they are having a little girl. I hope that does not change because I went with more pink in the quilt than a little boy would be happy with! I have not decided what I want on the back yet. I have some blue flannel material with maroon mittens and white snow flakes on it that I thought about using. It did not match the front, but I liked the winter theme for a January baby. I liked it because it was a little different from all of the pastels on the front. I liked it because it was already bought and paid for, waiting for me to use it! The Princess said it looked stupid. She thinks I should go get a solid pastel for the back. Any thoughts or opinions? My favorite material in there is the blue with little rubber duckies and bubbles!

To top the day off, the Princess and I went out for a fish fry. I had baked fish with a baked potato. Yum! Yum!

Now I am off to do some baking for church on Sunday. Then it will be time to go and spend the rest of the evening reading. I just looked at the clock. I guess it won’t be the rest of the evening because it is almost nine now! I will still get a little reading in though!
