What Are The Odds?

One of our nephews got married in February. Saturday he and his bride had their reception and dance. It was nice to see some family that we don't get to see very often. I always enjoy catching up with everyone and sharing some laughs. They had the cutest cookies at all of our place settings; bride and groom sugar cookies. I brought home a bride and groom, but the bride did not make it to the photo session! Here is the groom cookie, though!

This morning I had to meet Grampy in town at 6:00. As the Princess and I were driving in and talking; she all of a sudden yells, "Deer, deer!". Sure enough, out of the corner of my eye I see a deer running into the road. I wasn't quite able to come to a complete stop and hit the deer. The deer did not even fall down, he continued on his way to the other side of the road. The only damage is a little crease in the hood. Praise the Lord that the Princess and I were not hurt at all and the van didn't have any major damage. We weren't even late getting to town.



While waiting for Grampy to show up, my cell rings. It is Grampy telling us he will be a little late - he is waiting for the police to show up, he just hit a deer. Thankfully he was not hurt at all. Unfortunately his truck did not get off as easy as our van did. His damages came to $3,500.00. Good thing he is married to an insurance agent!
