"Little Tykes"

When your up your up and when your down your down and when your upside down your head's on the ground. A guy that I used to work with at the bank several years ago always used to say that. Today is his birthday, which made me think of him, which made me think of this saying again. How is that for some run-on sentences?! This picture seemed to be fitting.

We had Vacation Bible School this week at church. I did not help with VBS this year, but worked in the office this morning during VBS. It is hard to believe that it is eight years ago or so when I would bring my little tykes to VBS.

Even though I don't bring my little tykes to VBS any more, I still had a great day with the Princess. Now she drives herself to church on days that I work, quite often bringing me lunch. Today she came up and met me to help me finish up so we could go in town for lunch. We enjoyed lunch together, a trip to the Christian book store, a trip to the quilt shop for a 1/2 yard of material I needed, a trip to the coffee house for a cup of hot chocolate and a little grocery shopping for a friend of mine.

Seeing those little tykes today made me realize, again, how fast the time goes by. Only a couple more years of having my Princess at home, then she will be off onto different adventures. I am thankful for days like today to help me remember to take the time to enjoy my "little tykes" while they are still at home.

Now we are off to the sewing room. Maybe we will have a picture for you tomorrow - and maybe we won't! You'll have to wait and see.

Another picture of the Badlands. I'll quit making you look at pics of South Dakota next week!
