Easter Basket Picture Today!

Today you can see the picture of my Easter basket! Mom's computer's pop up blocker would not let our pictures come through Saturday. I did not know that was the problem Saturday night, didn't figure it out until tonight. It must have been too long of a day. The basket is getting fuller by the day, more fat quarters!

Low key day yesterday, but we did make it to the grocery store! Maybe I should have taken pics there for you. It is one exciting place, you know. Well, at least Mom thinks so! We did find some kind of a new Mexican treat. We don't know for sure what we will be eating, but we will give them a try. A helpful lady told us how to prepare the little morsels. They look like small (quarter size) orange wagon wheels. We deep fry them and sprinkle them with hot sauce and lemon juice. I guess you can also sprinkle them with cinnamon and sugar, but my taste buds say hot sauce and lemon juice, or butter and minced garlic. We'll let you know how they taste.
Marv and Trucker have been working on the '57 Ford engine. I think they have it as far as they can go with that for the time being. Marv is waiting for some guy to get some thing ground, then they can finish up. Hopefully they can finish with it before the Trucker and I have to go home. Mom just said she does not think they will be able to get it finished. Right now Trucker is down stairs reading a Chevy pickup service manual that Grandpa Marv gave him! I'm glad he can read himself now. Several years ago I had to read that stuff to him. I would try to skip pages sometimes but he would always figure it out!
Tomorrow Marv and Trucker are going down to Nancy's house, another of my step-sisters. They have to weld some pipes that broke during winter. Mom has to work half a day tomorrow. I think I will spend some time reading, some time working on her quilt and probably take Fancy (the hound dogger of the house) for a walk. Speaking of the quilt, I got the face of it finished yesterday. We will get that laid on their bed and get you a picture of that before I go home. That is my first queen sized quilt. Mom just said she likes it. She has to say that though because I am her kid and I made it!!

  1. Cute basket!

Candy, you may want to take the snowy picture off of your banner and put something springy there. Give winter the boot!

Looking forward to seeing pics of the quilt top!

  2. The quilt top is so pretty that I had to go buy material for valances to go with it. Now, if it just gets finished. If she takes it home again, I may never see it again!!
The engine needs the heads ground. Candy, that's not a foreign language. Maybe you should still be reading those books to Walker, or he to you. Oh, and the Easter basket, that's not just for you. You keep forgetting that part. What about your loving daughter and husband? I wouldn't forget about them. I wonder if they will ever see any of it? Sure is fun having you and Trucker here for awhile!!!!!
