We woke up to snow this morning! And not just a little bit of it, try three or four inches. Our weather radio went off around 7:30 this morning to warn us of a winter warning, we are due to get another six to ten inches of snow by tomorrow morning! We do need some precipitation, it is very dry here (or was very dry), I guess we were hoping for rain rather than snow. That is okay though, we will take whatever God gives us to help keep the fire danger down.
An elderly couple live down the road from us during the non-snowy months. They leave for Illinios just before Thanksgiving and return to the northwoods shortly after Easter. They arrived here last week and I was going to take them a pan of lasagna to welcome them back up. Now I am thinking I will take them a pot of soup, instead. They will probably be happy with any kind of warm food, because the weather certainly isn't showing them a warm welcome!

I am trying to get you a couple pictures of the Trucker's turkey. The King took them with his cell phone, so I don't know how good they will look on here. We will find out in a minute. Oh, here they are. As you can see, there was no snow on the ground Saturday morning! Turkeys are kind of big when you hold them up like that. Trucker is 6'1", so that gives you an idea of how big a turkey is.
Maybe along with soup, you should take your friends a shovel! Or a shoveler. I'm sure they'd appreciate both.
ReplyDeleteAnd the turkey looks great! The one with the feathers is cool too. Tell Trucker "Congrats!" Will this one have his tail mounted (or whatever you call it) too? Your house is going to look like a taxidermy exhibition.
