The King and Princess were gone for a couple of hours tonight. That leaves the Trucker and I home together, I love those one on one times with my kids. Tonight the Trucker and I were talking about the different groups of kids in school; the cool kids, the nerds, the kids that are just way out there and the kids that are the inbetweeners. When I was in school they were the jocks, the stoners, the partyers, the preppy kids. It is sad how kids are classified in school, especially when sometimes they are classified in a group they would rather not be a part of, but due to situations out of their control, it happens anyway.
As we were talking I could not help but think of how important it is to make sure that everyone in our home knows how much they are loved. No matter what "group" you belong to in school, in the work place, in church or where ever, you should always be able to come home and know that you are loved, know that you belong, know that you are needed and know that you are wanted.
I pray that this is the kind of home that we have. For my husband, children, parents, relatives and friends. I hope that they always feel loved, wanted and needed when they are in our house. When I am not at home, I pray that I still make the people that I come in contact with feel that they are important.

I always feel wanted and needed at your house, Bug. And even tho you could replace me with a nice shiny new dish washer, you don't! That's so sweet of you. All kidding aside, people can't help but feel welcome at your house. It's a great place to be. Just look at how many of us are always coming back. Over and over again!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Mom! For coming to visit and for doing the dishes! You are welcome here any time, even if you don't do the dishes!
