I like to go to Culver's, but other than that, I'm not much of a fast food person. However, I was taking a friend shopping yesterday right after work and had not ate since breakfast. I was starving! We went to the McDonald's drive-thru, I didn't know what to get, so ordered a cheeseburger. Man, are those things salty! I don't think I've had a McDonalds burger for twenty years, I don't remember them being like that! Did I get a burger that somebody over shot the fries with the salt and hit my burger? Or do they always taste like that? I don't think I will be buying another one any time soon to find out!
Since my burger was salty, and I got so thirsty, I had to go and get a chai tea latte. While they were making my tea, I went to the book store next door and looked at quilting magazines. I figured I better get out of there quick, I was beginning to feel like a character in the children's books If You Give A Moose A Muffin and If You Give A Mouse A Cookie! At least, I think that is what the books were called! It has been awhile since we had them around here. The point of the stories were that one thing led to another, which was how I felt yesterday in the book store. One salty burger leads to a chai tea latte which leads to a quilting magazine, which leads to new quilting material which leads to ... Who knows what could come next?

I think you owe McDonalds an apology. I think they led you to exactly where you wanted to be! Not every cafe can do that. Some just lead you to a fatter waist line or bigger hips. People have claimed for years that McDonalds is just soy burgers. Now the experts tell us we should eat more soy and less meat. Just look how far ahead of the times McDonalds were! They've been helping me take care of my health for years now.
ReplyDeleteYou keep thinking that Mom! I'll keep thinking it was a nasty burger and I don't need another one for another twenty years! I did see an Applebee's ad today, though. 2 for $20.00. We pick an appetizer we want to share and we each pick our own entree. That would take care of supper for us one night and two more breakfasts for me, my leftovers and your leftovers! What do you think?
ReplyDeleteSounds like a plan to me!!!!
