Birthday Babbles

This is what the first square in my quilt will look like. There will be four squares like this one. I still need to sew the fourth square together.

Grampy called me this morning to wish me a happy birthday. As we were finishing up our conversation, he told me how proud of me he was and that I was the single most greatest accomplishment of his life! That was as I was trying to get ready for work. It made me feel good, but I do have to admit I got a little teared up over it. Must have something to do with getting old, all of that sentimental stuff!

The other best part of my birthday? My family made me a homemade butterscotch pie for dessert. Ohhh, baby! That is some good eatin'! That was after the Princess made me Mediterranean Shrimp and Pasta for supper. To be a queen for a day is great!

Birthday flowers from the Princess!

  1. Long live the Queen!! You deserve all the adulation. (That means "cheers", dear.) I'm glad you like your quilt squares. It will be fun to see what it ends up looking like. It and your other projects should go along fast now that you have your b--- puller to help. What shall we do this weekend??

  3. Thanks, Chuck! You better watch it, too. I'm not in the 50 Club yet and I can still get my foot to your hinder!!

  4. That's because when you get old like me you start to drag your hinder behind you.
