Snow Day!

We got a snow day today! Woohoo! I love these days. The King is missing out on the fun, someone has to work, but the rest of us are home for the day. Trucker has already shoveled once; we’ll see how many more times it will be needed. Now he is getting the plow truck fired up and going to clean the driveway for us. His plan for the afternoon is to get the snowmobile running and go play with that for awhile. He is also making as many trips in and out of the house as possible because there are several cookies on the counter! Although, each time he goes by, there are fewer cookies on the counter.

The Princess made a batch of cookies this morning. Currently she is decorating the house. Thankfully she feels back to herself and is able to do these things. Yesterday she didn’t have an interest in baking or decorating. I just peeked at the buffet, she has our mini village set up on there. She is so good at that stuff, makes me kind of jealous!

My part in all of this? I am doing some baking also. I am looking for my Christmas cookie cookbook that I put some where last year to make room on my cookbook shelf. Only problem is that now I don’t know where I put it. I’m sure I put it some where logical! Hopefully I’ll find it before Christmas is over. I thought I put it with the decorations, but so far no go. Other wise, I am treasuring these moments. I know the next few years will fly by on me and the Princess and Trucker will have their own homes to take care of instead of ours. Or they will be too busy. Then what will I do? But, enough of those thoughts, for now I am going to enjoy the rest of today.
