Winter is Here!

We had our first snow flakes of the season Friday night. That melted during the day Saturday. This morning it started snowing again. We could get up to another inch of snow tonight, but tomorrow it is supposed to be 40*. That will melt the snow again. Whew! We don’t want winter to start quite this early.

How was your weekend? I had an enjoyable weekend with the King’s parents. Saturday Carol and I went to get fifty pounds of cranberries; she was making juice out of them when I left Sunday morning.

Where do you think we went next? To the quilt shop, of course! I needed material for the back of a quilt I made for the King. When Mom was here the previous weekend she bought a panel and the material to go around it a few times for the King’s quilt. I have never made a quilt out of a panel before. It goes FAST! I had the quilt all sewn together in eight or nine hours. All I have to do now is tie it. I will work on that tonight during the football game. I’ll show you a picture of that when I have it completed.

  1. Wow! 50 lbs of cranberries. That seems like a lot. And you bailed on her. For shame! Or did Carol figure she could deal with the berries a lot faster without you there??
Glad the quilt went so fast. I'm looking forward to seeing it done. Hearing how fast it went inspires me to get started on my panel one. I was teasing Marv about who we should give mine too when it was finished. He couldn't think of a single person. Hmmmm!
