A couple of verses made me laugh last night in the book of Job. The first verse was in Job 39. God is talking about all that He has created, the ways that things work that the human mind cannot comprehend. One of the things He mentions is the ostrich, "She wasn't created very smart, that's for sure, wasn't given her share of good sense. But when she runs, oh, how she runs, laughing, leaving horse and rider in the dust." Job 39:18 The Message I'm glad He's talking about an ostrich there and not humans!
The second verse that I liked was found in Job 40. Here God is talking about the land beast. God is talking about how big and strong a land beast is, but no one can train one. The only one with any control over the land beast is God. He then goes on to say, "But you'd never want him for a pet - you'd never be able to housebreak him!" Job 40:24 The Message Who would want to potty train one of those? Can you imagine those piles to clean up?
The Princess just told me that I am a freak and she does not like The Message! She says her Bible is more refined. Well la-te-dah!!
