Not Fair!

It took most of the day to warm up today, but we finally hit 50* around 6:00 tonight. Since it was so nice out, the Trucker and I decided to take the hound doggers for a walk, after supper. I had a huge sandwich for lunch today, so did not have any supper. The King was not going to be home for supper, so I made a quick supper of tuna noodle salad for the Princess and the Trucker. After supper, we go for a two mile walk. The Trucker and Toad take a short cut through the woods to get home and Ziggy and I take the long way home as I need more exercise. When Zig and I get in the door, there sits the Trucker at the table eating a bowl of cereal or oatmeal! He had just had supper an hour or two before. Plus, when he got off of the bus he had two peanutbutter fingers (cookie bars I made) and a small bag of chips. The chips came with my sandwich, but I figured I did not need to eat them after eating such a huge sandwich. I don't think that is fair! How can one person eat so much and stay so slender? Maybe it has some thing to do with the fact that he is 6'1" and fourteen years old. I, on the other hand, am 5'1" and thirty-nine years old. I guess he needs a little more food than I do!

I have finished the next two books in the Elm Creek Quilters series by Jennifer Chiaverini and just started the fourth book, The Runaway Quilt. This one is starting out to be excellent, it could be a late night tonight! I wonder if I can still make it awake until 3:00 - 4:00 in the morning reading? Hmmmm...only one way to find out!

  1. Of that entire series of book, The Runaway Quilt was far and above my absolute favorite one. And I hear she has a new book out that brings back some of those characters. It's called "The Lost Quilter" I think.

    Enjoy!

  2. I am not finished with the book yet, but so far it is my favorite, also. I should have it done by tonight.
